The Wednesday Night Lectionary Bible Study Group This joyful group of up to a dozen parishioners, from both points, meets most Wednesday nights from 7:30-10pm at the Good Shepherd, for friendship and laughter to study the scripture for the following Sunday services and to pray. When the Rector can.t be there, one or more of our capable lay leaders, often Judy Imrie, helps guide the study and discussion. A regular visitor this year has been the Reverend Clavin Evans and his wife, Goldie, who both greatly enrich our fellowship, study and prayer. Our .most committed senior. award goes to Stan Aspery (when not in Florida) and the .golden taxi. award goes to Betty Montgomery, with our thanks for doing the driving for many. The .Believe it or not, this study really blesses the preacher and helps to focus the sermon on Sunday. award goes to you-know-who. .The Word of God is active, sharper than a two edged sword.. It is our privilege and joy to be students and doers of God.s Holy Word. It brings life, health protection, direction, joy and salvation in Christ. All are welcome at this group. |
